At the opening ceremony, where His Highness Albert II, Prince of Monaco was also present, the Albanian flag was presented by the commander of the Naval Force, Rear Admiral Adnand Agastra.

Albania joined the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) last year, after many years of constant work. Membership with full rights is important in the international recognition of the quality of navigation safety in Albania’s maritime space, giving a contribution to the increase of maritime traffic in our waters.

The marine maps produced by the Albanian Hydrographic Service are already officially recognized for their quality and standards, as well as those of other IHO member countries.

Attending the meeting of the Assembly of the International Hydrographic Organization was also ambassador of Albania to France Dritan Tola and the honorary consul to Monaco Giuseppe Durazzo./p.s./
