Interior Minister Balla highlighted the long-time and fruitful cooperation between the Albanian government and the U.S. Department of Justice, pointing out the Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP).

“With new ICITAP Director we discussed ways to boos cooperation in the fight against cultivation, trafficking and distribution of narcotics. Strengthening the State Police power in collaboration with the intelligence service SHISH, special anti-corruption and anti-crime prosecution office SPAK and local prosecutor’s offices to combat this phenomenon would allow us to achieve results expected by the public,” Interior Minister Balla said in a post on the social media.
