TIRANA, March  8 /ATA/ The Albanian government approved the loan agreement with KfW in the amount of 20 million euros for integrated regional development.

“We also approved the ratification of the loan agreement between the Council of Ministers, represented by MoFE, and KFW, for the “integrated regional development” project. This project will be implemented by the Albanian Development Fund and is under the umbrella of the government’s projects and strategies for the development of mainly rural areas,” Minister of Finance and Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj, told a media statement, after the meeting of the Council of Ministers.

According to her, this agreement foresees a financing of 20 million euros and a grant of 1 million euros, which will be concentrated in the municipalities of Pogradec and Pustec.

“This project will boost economic development of the areas, their regional development, it aims to increase employment in rural areas, which are in dire need of investment and employment,” said Ibrahimaj.
