Chief Executive Officer of Albania’s Financial Supervisory Authority (AMF),  Mimoza Kaçi attended the 2024 annual conference in Cape Town, where she unveiled AMF’s platform and vision on hosting the milestone event next year.

In her remarks, Kaçi underlined excellent relation with IAIS, testifying to AMF’s steadfast commitment to international cooperation and harmonization of supervisory practices with international insurance standards.

In 2024, based on the IAIS report that assesses implementation of the Holistic Framework insurance standards, AMF has drafted and proposed relevant changes to the insurance law and the law on the Financial Supervisory Authority in order to strengthen the country’s regulatory and legal framework.

The annual 2025 IAIS conference in Tirana will bring together over 500 high-level insurance supervisors and regulators of the insurance market, representatives of financial institutions, experts and actors of the insurance market from all over the world to discuss the news and challenges of this industry.

In the meantime, the event also represents an excellent opportunity to promote Albania as a new tourist destination.
