Power Corporation: Albania’s daily output at Drin cascade reaches 12,700 MWh

TIRANA, Jan 8 /ATA/ – Recent rainfall has raised reservoir levels, improving the production capacity of the main hydropower plants, Albania’s state-owned power producer KESH said on Thursday.

KESH said daily electricity generation from the three hydropower plants on the Drin river cascade – Fierza, Koman and Vau i Dejes – had reached 12,700 megawatt hours (MWh).

Current water levels at the plants stand at 288 metres above sea level at Fierza, 173.8 metres at Koman and 74.8 metres at Vau i Dejes, the corporation said.

KESH said it would continue to keep the public and relevant authorities transparently informed of any changes in the data.

TIRANA, Aug 22 /ATA/ – The Albanian Power Corporation (KESH) said Monday that the combined daily electricity production at the three main hydropower plants on Drin River cascade is estimated at 16 828 MWh, whereas the electricity reserve has fallen to 638.52 GWh.

KESH released official data on the situation of the three HPPs on Drin cascade, with the current water level at the Fierza power plant estimated at 275.67 meters, down from the maximum quota of 296 m, while the water inflow is estimated at just 50 cubic meters per second.

“The water level at Koman dam is 174.02 m, whereas its maximum quota is 175.5 m and the water level at Vau i Dejes HPP is 73.71 m, while the maximum level is 76 m,” KESH said.

The data published by the power corporate show that the water inflows to Fierza dam are estimated at 50 m3/s, to Koman at 25 m3/s and at 5 m3/s to the Vau i Dejes HPP.

TIRANA, April 19 /ATA/ – Albanian Power Corporation reported Tuesday that the water inflows to the Drini River cascade are estimated at 360 cubic meters per second, while the daily electricity generation at three main hydropower plants is estimated at 6450 MWh.

According to the power utility, the water level at Fierza hydropower plant is 277.02 m, while it maximum level is 296 meters. The water level at Koman HPP dam is 171.05 m (maximum level at 175.5 m), whereas the level of water at Vau i Dejes HPP is estimated at 73.38 m, whereas its maximum quota level is 76 m.

The natural water inflows into Fierza dam are estimated at 250 m3/s; 100m3 into Koman HPP and 10 cubic meters per second into Vau i Dejes HPP.

The combined daily electricity production at the three HPPs is estimated 6450 MWh, whereas the electricity reserve is estimated at 673.7 GWh.
