“In  his last term in office in particular, he (PM Rama) revealed to Albania and the world an Albania without opposition, with all the powers concentrated in his hands, an Albania with the leaders of three main opposition parties imprisoned, and where electoral crime goes unpunished,” the Chairman of the main opposition party remarked at an event commemorating the 34th anniversary of the toppling of former communist dictator Enver Hoxha’s monument in Tirana.

Berisha praised university students and Tirana citizens who joined the anticommunist protests in 1991, marking the beginning of freedom after 47 years under the yoke of Hoxha’s communist dictatorship.

According to him, February 20 should inspire Albanians to fight for a free and prosperous Albania.
