Hoxhaj stated, “I hope this joint session of our parliaments is a good omen, signaling that in the next government of Kosovo, cooperation with Albania will be high on agenda, not at the bottom as it has been in recent years. Albania is, for us, Kosovo’s twin in terms of identity, history, and demographics.”

Hoxhaj further stated, “Albania is a natural strategic partner for Kosovo, and the two republics, as part of the same nation, are simply a natural extension of one another. This is why, ten years ago, not in December but in January, not in Pristina or Tirana, but in Prizren, the historic capital of the Albanians, the first joint government meeting took place under the stewardship of Prime Ministers Thaçi and Rama. It was not just a meeting between two governments; it was a declaration of a strategic partnership, which continues to this day, with numerous follow-up meetings held by our governments.”
