Like more than 3 billion people and thousands of other cities in the world, “Tirana, the European Capital of Youth 2022”, joins the movement “Get moving for nature” which is the theme of the Earth Hour 2022.

This year, the Earth Hour coincides with a critical time for people and a free country like Ukraine. So, on Saturday at 20:30, take your friends and relatives and gather in “Skanderbeg” square as an expression of solidarity for peace on planet Earth in this difficult period.

The young people will create the Ukrainian flag with over 60 candles and the inscription “Peace for Ukraine” in the central square of Tirana. But, there will also be various activities in the square that you can enjoy with your friends.

The Earth Hour was famously started as a lights out event in Sydney, Australia in 2007. Dozens of world capitals joined the project by turning off the lights for an hour in government offices or tourist spots and state symbols./m.m/p.s./
