Prime Minister Edi Rama shared a gallery of pictures showing the ongoing cleanup action, expressing gratitude to everyone who joined the initiative launched by the National Agency of Protected Areas to send beautiful messages through tangible actions.

The National Agency of Protected Areas is implementing the “10 parks in 10 days” initiative as a contribution of everyone to cleaning up areas that are protected as national or natural parks.

The campaign is designed not only to clean the national and natural parks, but also to further promote Albania from the Alps in the north to Llogara in the coastal south.

The Hotovë-Dangëlli National Park lies in southern Albania. Its features include canyons, thermal springs, and millennia-old forests, and its proximity to towns like Permet adds to its popularity.

Hotovë-Dangëlli is the largest national park in Albania, located in Gjirokastër, and covers an area of 34,361 ha. The park gets its name from the Hotovë Fir, an important tree species in the Mediterranean region.

The park consists of hills, mountains, valleys, canyons, gorges, rivers, and dense forests of deciduous and coniferous trees. The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has classified the park as Category II, indicating its conservation significance. The park includes 11 natural monuments.
