Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, during the inspection at the Lezha Hospital, stated that once the reconstruction gets underway, this hospital will reach another stage of development, on top of the maternity ward, which offers completely contemporary conditions.

Koçiu said that this investment will enable the enhancement of service quality for about 200 thousand inhabitants as well as the transformation of the premises for doctors and patients.

“This is a good news for all the doctors, nurses and all staff working in the regional hospital of Lezha, but also for nearly 200,000 residents and citizens of the entire region who will access much more modern conditions in this hospital structure. Thanks to the continuous investments of the government and the Ministry of Education and Culture in modern medical devices, new diagnostic and examination services will be offered,” Koçiu said.
Lezha Regional Hospital offers services in pathology, pediatrics, Anesthesia-Reanimation service, general surgery, ophthalmology, palliative care, chemotherapy, orthopedics as well as obstetrics-gynecology service.
