TIRANA, April  18 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday to follow the recovery protocol at home, after the successful surgery to remove appendicitis yesterday at TUHC.

In a message on social media, Rama thanked all those who have expressed concern about his health condition, especially the team of doctors and nurses for their medical care.

“A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who has expressed concern about my health condition these days. Thanks to the dedicated medical team and after the successful procedure, today I left the hospital to follow the recovery protocol at home and I am lost for words to sufficiently thank the doctors and nurses for their medical care,” the Prime Minister writes.

“I believe I will be back among you soon and once again thank you very much for your support. I love you very much, Edi” the Prime Minister’s message reads.

Prime Minister Edi Rama was diagnosed with acute appendicitis two days ago, after undergoing several imaging tests at the “Mother Teresa” University Hospital Center. Based on the recommendation of emergency service doctors, the Prime Minister underwent surgery to remove appendicitis, which was a successful procedure.
