The minister said that this hospital offers services to 120,000 residents of the district and about 700,000 tourists who choose Berat as their vacation destination.

Koçiu added that after the first “Shefqet Ndroqi” Regional Hospital Center, work is in full swing to build another excellent twinning model between the Kuçovo Municipal Hospital and the Berat Regional Hospital to provide specialized services near the residence.

“Another project is the creation of the second regional hospital center in Berat Kuçova. After the project involving “Shefqet Ndroqi” and Kavaja, Berat and Kuçova will follow suit to optimize services, to minimize costs and to serve the entire area with all the capacities. This is the next project which, without question, will be coupled with an investment in infrastructure, here and in equipment,” the Minister of Health said.

Çuçi said that Berat is developing into an important center where the number of tourists has increased tremendously and investments in infrastructure will go hand in hand with the growing population.
