Rama emphasized that the hospital was rebuilt up to the standards

He also wrote on social media that the hospital will provide treatment of internal diseases and for the first time will have a dedicated consultation center.

Prime Minister Edi Rama and Minister of Health and Social Protection Ogerta Manastirliu inspected on Wednesday afternoon the new Hospital of Internal Medicine at TUHC, with a capacity of 350 new beds, which will bring public health service up to European standards.

“We are nearing the end of the investment in this new internal medicine hospital. We increase the capacities for emergency, hemodynamic interventions, but also the quality of services, including innovative interventions in the cardiology unit. The new hospital will also expand the capacities of Cardiopulmonary Resusciation unit up to standards”, said Manastirliu.

“With the opening of the new hospital, which will also house the intensive care unit, we will be able to open a new day hospital with 60 beds, which also includes the dialysis service,” said Manastirliu.
The new Hospital of Internal Medicine will offer services of rheumatology, allergology, dermatology and physiotherapy that are currently located in other buildings of TUHC, and together with the existing services, those of gastrohepatology, hematology, endocrinology, nephrology , dialysis, cardiology unit, hemodynamics and cardiology resuscitation will complete the profile of an internal medicine hospital.
