With 24 votes in favor, the city council members gave their approval to honor Tirana Mayor for contributing to improved infrastructural conditions of the Albanians in the area of Bujanoc.

Mayor Veliaj has been also awarded the honorary citizen status by the Municipal Assembly of Presheva previously.

In addition to “Naim Frashëri” school in Bujanoc, the Municipality of Tirana has provided support project to improve infrastructure of Dituria school in the Municipality of Presheva.

In 2021, Tirana’s city council approved a financial support package for the Municipality of Presheva to help relieve effects and damages from massive floods.
