Addressing a business forum at the Palace of Congresses in Tirana on Monday, Ambassador Hohman noted that business climate and economic development are key to Albania’s EU membership process.

“Everything depends on economy, the economic development, because the business climate essential, because country won’t be able to completely change without it. How business environment can improve? How Albanian economy can become more competitive? How to attract more investment projects? How to boost Albania’s precious capital, namely the human capital through education and skills development? How to make Albania more attractive to investments? So it is no surprise all these issues are at the core of the EU integration process indeed,” she said.

Ambassador Hohmann stated that Albania needs to significantly invest in human capital, education system, scientific research and innovation so that the country can make the best of the opportunities stemming from the green and digital transition, which are the main drive to the economic and market development in the EU.
