TIRANA, Sept 14 /ATA/ Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu today condemned the false bomb alert at a Tirana school, calling it a grave and unacceptable act — particularly on the first day of the new school year.

Koçiu underlined that raising such an alarm, at a time when schoolyards are crowded with children, cannot be treated as either a prank or a test of the State Police.

“A false bomb alert at a Tirana school on the first day of classes, when schoolyards are crowded with children, is no bitter joke,” she declared.

The Deputy Prime Minister described the incident as “outright criminal madness,” rejecting any justification of such acts under the banner of freedom of expression.

Koçiu added that this behaviour damages both protest and public space, stressing that the law must be enforced against those responsible.

Koçiu declared that “the law must swiftly make clear that Albania is not a stage where their sick dramas can be played out for free.”

She concluded by urging society to stand together against such incidents, stressing that rejecting this behaviour must be a collective stance embraced by all.
