According to media reports, the security measure requested by the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) and approved by the Special Court for Corruption and Organized Crime (GJKKO) comes as part of investigations into Ergys Agasi, within the case known as ‘AKSHI’. She is suspected of two criminal offences: aiding the perpetrator of a crime and disclosure of state secrets.

The operation is still under way, and it is reported that investigations into this part of the case began after the examination of mobile phones seized from Agasi’s office.

SPAK is carrying out searches at the home of Ilir Proda, former Director General of the State Police. In addition to Proda, the homes of other police officials are also being searched.
