TIRANA, February 24 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama visited today Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum and Peace Memorial Park in Hiroshima, Japan.

In a statement to the media, the prime minister considered the visit to Japan and the opportunity to get to know the wonderful people of this country to be an amazing experience.

“But, beyond all the beautiful things of my visit here with my wife and our 8-year-old son, this is the highlight of my visit to Japan because it is a unique experience of humanity and for humanity. And I really want this experience to serve us as a lesson. No one should even imagine playing with nuclear weapons as they play with children’s toys. And there should not even be threats to our civilization with nuclear bombs,” said Rama.

The prime minister said that he feels honored to visit this country that has suffered, felt pain and has a unique history.

“For me personally, for my wife and eight-year-old son, it will be something we will remember and will serve as a lesson for everyone and forever. Thank you Hiroshima and God bless the wonderful Japanese people,” said Rama.

“I think it’s all an experience. Of course, having the privilege of putting flowers there. It’s an honor. I feel humbled and very thankful that this was possible. Again it is the same unique experience. And I can’t thank everyone enough who made this visit possible. I wish all the people of this world to come and visit this place. That’s because it’s something that can’t be described in words and probably has more than a thousand pages of history lessons,” he said.

The prime minister emphasized that, “There were many people who thought that the invasion of Ukraine would take place within a week”.

“But here we are, after a year of heroic resistance of the people of Ukraine. Thanks to the support of the democratic world, not only Ukraine was not invaded, but it has become clear that Russia cannot win this war,” he added. /m.m/ /gj.m/p.s./
