TIRANA, May 30 /ATA/ The Ministerial of the European Area of Higher Education, which was held in Tirana with the participation of all countries, was a coordination of basic values by all actors in the field, which turned the Albanian capital into the epicenter of European Higher Education.

This is what the Minister of Education of Romania, Ligia Deca, said at the joint press conference alongside the Minister of Education and Sports, Ogerta Manastirliu and the Minister of Education and Scientific Research of Moldova, Dan Perciu, at the end of the Ministerial, adding that “the objective of the ministerial is to guarantee and ensure that all young people access education.”

According to her, the fact that we now have a better way to measure the social dimension of our systems means that the diversity of our populations is reflected in that student diversity, and that is important for everyone to have the opportunity to attend higher education and succeed regardless of where they come from, social background or economic level.
Deca emphasized that, “it is important not to leave behind any kind of potential and to showcase our diversity, to increase the quality and standards in higher education by recognizing the diversities of the students or young people from our countries.”
In this meeting, the Romanian Minister of Education pointed out, we have operationalized fundamental values that “make us all European, increasing trust in each other, because we recognize each other’s diplomas and qualifications, because we recognize the quality of high education between each other, between countries.”

“The goal is for all member countries to provide equal higher education, mutually recognized on the basis of quality and standards,” said Deca.
While the Minister of Education and Scientific Research of Moldova, Dan Perciun said that such events are important for the youth of Europe, as it brings more opportunities for mobility.
“Students from all over Europe will have the opportunity to move across the continent and this is an excellent opportunity to discover cultural innovations, new skills and to develop a new cultural identity”, he said.
