Vata/ The High Court has resumed the procedures for filling in the remaining 3 vacancies on the Constitutional Court, members to be elected from the ranks of judiciary by the institution itself.

The Chief Justice of the High Court, Sokol Sadushi, has announced 3 vacancies, created by law, due to expiry of Vitore Tusha’s 9-year term, on March 10, 2017, appointed in March 2008, the announcement was made on 9. 1 2017. For the expiry of the term of Fatmir Hoxha on September 25, 2018, due to dismissal from office by final decision, appointed in 2011, the announcement was made on 14.9 2018. For the expiry of the term of Gani Dizdari on April 22, 2019, due to dismissal from office by final decision, appointed in 2013, the announcement was made on 14.2. 2019.

Following the appointment of 7 Constitutional Court members at the end of 2020, the Court became functional, pending the full completion of the judging troupe. /j.p/sm/
