Thanks to the investment of the state budget for complete reconstruction of the 4-storey building constructed before the 90s, it has been transformed, not only in terms of infrastructure, but also the organizational and functional aspect of its premises.

Prime Minister Edi Rama was today in Elbasan, where together with the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Ogerta Manastirliu, visited the new hospital, which provides health services for more than 20 thousand children.

Minister Manastirliu said that the Elbasan Hospital Complex is already completed in terms of hospital structure, but also of technology, imaging and laboratories.

“After a string of investments in the hospital of Elbasan, the recent investment already completed is the Pediatric Hospital, which is a commitment already delivered to provide quality services to more than 20 thousand children who receive services every year in this hospital. All the doctors and nurses of this Pediatric Hospital know very well what the conditions were like, but to tell the truth, the building of Elbasan Hospital is already a well-invested building from the point of view of hospital infrastructure, but also from the point of view of technology, imaging and laboratory that are already included in the entire hospital development program, ” – Minister Manastirliu said.

Elbasan Pediatric Hospital has a capacity of 75 beds, 60 beds for young patients, organized in the services of day therapy, intensive care, neuro – interitis, bronchitis, and infectious pediatrics service, as well as 15 beds in the emergency service.

The new hospital is also a long-awaited investment for the dedicated health staff of the Elbasan Pediatric Hospital that treats on average 80 small patients a day in the emergency service and up to 150 children in peak periods.
