FSDKSH emphasized that patients receive quality service in modern settings and up to the standards.

“Dialysis, kidney transplant, fistula and graft placement surgeries are some of the health packages financed 100% by the Albanian Government in the framework of universal health coverage,” said the FSDKSH.
FSDKSH announces that in January-June, 78,393 dialysis procedures, 115 fistula and graft placement surgeries and 6 kidney transplants were performed.

Since 2015, Albanian patients benefit from nephrology and cardiosurgery health packages free of charge, both in public and non-public hospitals. Patients assess 10 hospital services such as dialysis, kidney transplant, acute rejection therapy, definitive pacemaker, coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty, valve interventions, congenital interventions, coronary bypass, cochlear implant for children with hearing loss.

These packages are 100% financed by the Mandatory Health Care Insurance Fund and are implemented based on protocols approved by the Ministry of Health.
