“Twenty-five years ago, NATO’s intervention was decisive in breaking up Milosevic’s genocidal ambitions against the Albanian population in Kosovo,” Hasani wrote on his social media account.

“Today, independent and sovereign Kosovo is proof of the resistance of its people and the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters. With determination, Kosovo has evolved into a functional democracy, which aims at full integration into the Euro-Atlantic family,” said Hasani.
After the Recak massacre, in March 1999, NATO launched attacks on military and police targets in the former Yugoslavia.

After 78 days of attacks, the bombings stopped on June 10, 1999, with the Kumanovo Technical Agreement, which provided for the withdrawal of all Serbian military and police forces from Kosovo.
