In his speech at the Conference of Parliamentary Committees on European Integration/European Affairs of the Participating Countries in the Stabilization and Association Process of Southeast Europe, held at the Palace of Congresses, Hasani stated, “This forum has played and continues to play a crucial role in shaping the European future of our region, and today, here, we reaffirm our joint commitment to European integration, regional cooperation, and the building of a sustainable, prosperous, and united region.”

He stated, “The COSAP format has proven its invaluable worth as a space for dialogue, fostering mutual understanding between our countries and strengthening the role of parliaments in the EU integration process.”

Hasani stated, “The Western Balkans has collaborated to promote democracy, the rule of law, human rights, and good governance—values that are essential for the journey toward EU membership. This circle of cooperation is expanding as more and more countries move forward in this process.”

For Albania, the minister added, “Undoubtedly, the hosting of this conference is a testament to the significant progress we have made on the path of European integration, a process always driven by the vision and commitment of our government.”

Hasani emphasized that, “Thanks to this approach, Albania has reached the most important milestones, from obtaining candidate status and initiating membership negotiations to making tangible commitments in discussions on the key aspects of this process.”
“More than ever, we are closer to the next step in this journey, and the government’s commitment to accelerating reforms has set a new standard for our countries,” added Hasani.

“Four out of six negotiation chapters have already been opened. In June, we expect to open the final two, and starting in December this year, we will begin closing the first chapters,” said Hasani. /j.p/sm/
