Regional Directorate of Cultural Heritage in Shkoder said Sunday that the distinctive stone house underwent restoration project as part of the ongoing program aimed at preserving cultural heritage and further expanding authentic experience and the tourist offer that connects agritourism with the old typical houses in the heart of northern Albania.

The tower in the remote hamlet of Letaj is a first category, rare cultural and historic monument.

Built 150 years ago, tower has survived over the decades, with its stones preserving a rich history of patriotism and pride. The Kurpal Tower has regained its former splendor and has now been transformed into a museum open to everyone.

Visitors can now experience first-hand the tower’s characteristic architecture, the traditional way of life, and the historical events that this tower has immortalized over the years.

With its inspiring history, the tower is not only evidence of the cultural identity of the Has region, but also recalls the strength of the Albanian spirit to defend the homeland.

The site is a national heritage treasure that welcomes anyone wishing to explore Albanian history and tradition.

Albanian government has launched the Tower Tour, which represents a new chapter in the efforts to preserve Albanian cultural heritage and expand tourist offer in the country’s remote northern regions. The initiative is also an innovative way to explore Albanian attractions.

According to Central Election Commission (CEC), vote-counting in Hasi municipality, in all (a total of 28) polling stations has been completed.

The “Democratic Party-Alliance for a Magnificent Albania” Coalition led with 52.57% or 3547 votes.

Meanwhile, the Socialist Party (SP) has received 33.07% or 2,231 votes.

The Social Democratic Party received 841 votes or 12.46%, the Opportunity Party 37 votes or 0.55%, “Initiative – Albania Can” Coalition 32 votes or 0.47%, the Euroatlantic Coalition Party 22 votes or 0.33%. //a.i/

The General Director of the National Housing Authority- NHA, Stefan Çipa, along with representatives of construction companies closely inspected the works on the construction of the quake-affected buildings supported through NHA funds.

The construction works are going ahead at a fast pace, while NHA head Çipa has requested acceleration of the works due to the use of climatic conditions so that within this year these facilities can be handed over to the respective Municipalities to enable homeless families enter their newly built homes.

NHA announced that, the implementation of these projects is being followed step by step so that the management plan’s deliverables are executed accordingly. //a.i/
