In his message of thanks to everyone who contributed to the extraordinary victory of the Socialist Party in Tirana, and especially to the citizens who voted again for him for a third term at the head of the largest municipality in the country, Erion Veliaj asked for the cooperation of everyone to continue the work for the development of Tirana.

From the headquarters of the SP, Veliaj said that he will extend his hand of cooperation to the candidates who competed with him in these elections, but especially to all the members of every political force elected by the citizens for the Municipal Council of Tirana.

“I want to take this opportunity from the headquarters of our party to extend a hand of cooperation to all those who ran for the Municipality of Tirana. I want to extend a hand of cooperation to Belind, Arlind, Roland, Marko and Lajla. We are not enemies; we grew up in the same city; we walk on the same streets; we will have the same problems. I very much hope that they will accept this offer so that we can cooperate, not enter a City Council where the old trend of division continues. We don’t need others in the City Council, but we want to cooperate with others in the City Council”, said Veliaj.

He emphasized that the Socialist Party in Tirana has won the absolute majority of the members of the Municipal Council, but it seeks this cooperation for the benefit of the city.

“Thanks to the extraordinary support that the citizens have given us, by voting the Socialist Party logo for the City Council, today we have a decisive majority in the City Council, a majority that allows us to continue this vision, these promises, and these projects and take them forward. We have a very strong desire to make a new beginning. We convey the message that despite our differences, we have more things that unite us than things that divide us”, Veliaj concluded his appeal./k.s/ /gj.m/p.s./
