The Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today on the social media images from the road, which according to him, creates a new axis of travel through an unknown part of the Albanian paradise.

The tourist road Gusmar-Kuç creates a new perspective for the wonderful mountainous area between Tepelena and Himara.

The investment in the construction of this road totals 5,780,441 dollars and work  kicked off in April 2020.

The Kuç-Gusmar axis connects Tepelena and Himara, as well as the Gjirokastra region with the Lumi i Vlorës road and the coast.

The investment in this road axis includes the construction of 4 bridges, one with a total length of 30 meters and the other with a length of 10 meters, and the other two bridges lengths are respectively 6 and 5 meters.

This project is part of the “intervention package”, intertwined with the Lumi i Vlorës road and Bënçë-Lekdush. The road has long been an infrastructural necessity to set in motion agritourism in the area, as well as the trade of agricultural and livestock products closer to the coastal areas and the main services in the respective municipal centers. //a.i/
