In a joint press conference with the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Good Neighborhood, Oliver Varhelyi, Rama said that, “Commissioner Varhelyi has accompanied us throughout the journey and has played a crucial role in this important shift of the paradigm.”

“For the first time ever all of us in the Western Balkans agree that the EU is not just doing its job as usual, but is going a step further to reach out to us and support us in our economic growth and EU accession journey through a new growth plan, which is actually an initiative conceived outside the box”, said Rama.

“This is the result of the dialogue. This is the result of our push to be heard, to be understood regarding our difficulties, our arguments and our ideas”, emphasized Rama.

“Thanks to peer to peer exchanges, we have achieved this very important objective to introduce something new into the traditional integration process that is quite concrete and that can take us to another level much faster,” Rama said.
