TIRANA, March 25 /ATA/ – Albania and Greece maintain very good relations and the two are committed to tackle the issues between the two countries, Prime Minister Edi Rama told a most recent interview with the Greek newspaper Ta Nea during his official visit to Athens earlier this week.

“Although creating a work of art that would reflect the Albanian-Greek relationship would be a rather difficult task for an artist, the bilateral ties are nowadays improving constantly after a period of turmoil and I strongly believe in the potential of these ties for the benefit of both nations,” PM Rama said.

“Art does not affect politics, as it is a form of life existing in another reality, while politics is a battle in the reality of our life,” the government head said answering to the question whether art can impact and alter politics, adding: “Political relations with Greece are on a very good level, the issues between us are handled with dedication by both sides, with a common understanding that we must resolve our differences and that no one else will do it for us.”

Referring to the joint decision to refer the maritime border issue to the Hague-based International Court of Justice, PM Rama emphasized that it is impossible that the framework agreement between the two countries be submitted before the next elections in Greece.
