TIRANA, June 12 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Friday that his government would continue to serve its full term until 2029, rejecting calls from protesters opposing a planned investment project in Zvërnec.

Speaking in an interview with Top Channel, Rama said he remained committed to fulfilling the mandate given to his government by voters.

Commenting on criticism directed at him during recent protests, Rama said democratic societies allow dissent but governments are elected to govern for a fixed mandate.

Rama also rejected claims that emigration from Albania was increasing at alarming rates, arguing that official data showed a moderation in migration trends.

At the same time, he acknowledged that challenges remain in areas such as healthcare and public services, saying further work was needed to improve infrastructure and living standards.
