In his remarks at a roundtable on electoral crimes alongside State Election Commissioner Ilirjan Celibashi, General Prosecutor Olsian Çela, SPAK chief prosecutor Altin Dumani, and political party representatives, Gonzato emphasized, “Vote buying and voter pressure continue to be persistent issues in Albania.”

“I welcome the initiative undertaken by key actors, such as the Central Election Commission, the Prosecutor General’s Office, SPAK, and the State Police, to coordinate their efforts ahead of the May 11th elections in order to address possible electoral crimes, as a guarantee of trust in these elections,” said the ambassador.

“I am eager to hear more from these institutions regarding their initiative and coordination,” said Gonzato at the meeting organized by civil society organizations.
