In her remarks Minister Xhaçka briefed her Spanish counterpart on the progress made so far by Albania in addressing the criteria for opening negotiations, emphasizing that our country has met all the conditions for the conduct of the First Intergovernmental Conference.

“I held a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs European Union and Cooperation of Spain, Arancha Gonzalés Laya. Thankful for her kind words on my appointment. Very grateful for the continued Spanish support for Albania’s EU integration path and holding of first Intergovernmental Conference soon.
