In his remarks at the event, the government head praised best performing students with a grade point average 10 as an example and embodiment of long success.

“I promise I won’t give you any advice, because I always remember the time when I was at your age and anytime I used to find myself under the barrage or the spray of words from my parents, I swore to myself that I would never give unsolicited advice when I grow old like them,” PM Rama remarked.

“It is great honor to bring together best performing students and be lucky enough to look into the eyes of all the heroes of a time when it is not easy feat to be a positive hero, especially at a time when the entire communication space, thanks to the social media, teems with negative heroes,” PM Rama said.

The government head praised excellent students for their performance, achievements and ambitions despite the daily hardship, saying they have decided to rise up to challenges and turn them into hope.

“Despite all the daily difficulties, although you could have opted to find an excuse and give up, you have chosen the most difficult path. You have decided to face challenges and all the objective difficulties you have encountered,” he added.
