TIRANA, April 8 /ATA/ Albania has started bit by bit to harness its natural resources and cultural heritage. We will keep working with perseverance and tie one by one the links of a chain that will become a beautiful gem around the neck of Albania. ”

This is what PM Edi Rama stated in Gjirokastra during a meeting with the youths in this city.

“If you take a tour in the heart of Gjirokastra, you will see how things change bit by bit, other doors open, other stairs are restored, other rooms are transformed into reception spaces, small businesses are set up, household businesses create jobs for themselves, but also hire others.”

“Today is not how we want it to be, because there are so many doors to open, there are still so many stairs to be restored, there is still so much space to use, to turn all this fantastic gem of our cultural heritage in a network of economy, employment, in a network that attracts more and more visitors and tourists and generates more and more income for all those who decide to stay here. I bring this example to show how all sectors of our life have been set in motion, ” – said Rama.

PM said that “the choice is very clear, either to move ahead with perseverance and connect one by one the links of a chain that will become a beautiful necklace around the neck of Albania or come to a halt.”
“We cannot afford to stop and make the mistake that Albanians have made in their history, we cannot afford to be allured by seductive mermaids that have plunged them deep into debt and made them waste time and pay dearly the cost of this allure. There is no transformation without effort, without work, there is no climbing without resistance and determination,” – said Rama.

Prime Minister Rama went on saying that “Tepelena was abandoned, no one stopped at there except to drink some water or to fill up the car with petrol and move on. But today Tepelena is an institution. Labëria up there is a destination, today Tepelena, Labëria together with Gjirokastra, Përmet, Këlcyrë, Libohova, Dropull, will be connected to the Ionian Sea in a very short time.
