The house is located in the “Palorto” neighborhood.

The house features a planimetric composition different from the usual layouts. The reason is the relatively narrow plot and adherence to the width of the road, which borders the right side of the house.
The intervention that Gjirokatra regional directorate undertook in this facility was an emergency as it posed a risk to passers-by.

The “Palorto” neighborhood can be considered as one of the landmark neighborhoods of the city since it boasts the Ethnographic Museum and the Kadare House, also repurposed as a museum. In addition, the conversion of many of the characteristic houses, into guesthouses where local and foreign tourists are welcomed, makes this neighborhood a tourist attraction in Gjirokastra.
