Speaking at the plenary session, Gjiknuri called the Commission of Inquiry ridiculous because, as he said, “in the end this commission came up with a political wall poster turning fellow MPs into prosecutors, who brought ridiculous allegations bringing down the political cause, they bragged about. ”

Gjiknuri noted that the report tabled by this Commission clearly shows that it was developed piecemeal by different people who were motivated to produce a political leaflet, while on the other hand, the value of those works, despite the allegations, cannot be belittled.

“My name was deliberately included by the Democratic Party head to stain the name of the Secretary General of the SP, because my role was negligible in this process,” he said, adding that the commission was established against the backdrop of other political developments in DP.

Gjiknuri stressed that “ despite the allegations about any facility, no one can deny that these public works are delivering their impact on economy and environment, the Elbasan incinerator has resolved the waste problem and another one will be set to operation in Fier any time soon, because these works are in the service of the citizens and the country. ” /a.a/sm/
