TIRANA, March 31 /ATA/- In the Gjanica river, the rehabilitation of the second segment, which had turned into a garbage dump and source of flooding, is about to be completed.

Prime Minister Edi Rama has published photos from this construction site, which is nearing the end of the urban and environmental transformation of the Gjanicë river.

Rama points out that until yesterday this river was a source of pollution and flood risk for the city and today it is a green artery of the heart of Fier.

This government investment implemented by the Albanian Development Fund is transforming the city center and the Gjanica river.

This investment entails the laying of stone and decorative tiles along the river, the installation of lighting as well as tree planting.

TIRANA, Aug 21 /ATA/ Work on the construction site along the Gjanica River trail to transform it into a green lung and added value for the environment and community life is running at a fast pace.
Prime Minister Edi Rama published photos of the construction site today.

“The construction site as part of the second phase of urban and environmental transformation in the center of Fier, along the Gjanica River Trail, which is being transformed from a decade-long community concern, with floods and filth in the heart of the city, into a green and added value for the environment and community life,” Rama said on social media.

The rehabilitation of the Gjanica river, which for a quarter of a century had turned into the major cause of garbage and floods for the city of Fier, remains the biggest project implemented in this city.
