According to the official data published by the General Directorate of Customs-GDC, in January-August of 2021 revenues from customs duties reached about ALL 23.3 billion more than the same period of the previous year.

In the 8-month period of 2021, the revenues collected in the state budget hit the highest level in the history of customs.

“The increase in revenues has been affected at the extent of 78% by the increase in import quantities and at the extent of 22% by the increase of prices. The increase in prices has been amortized by a fall in the exchange rate with a negative effect of about ALL 2 billion,” GDC reported.

Revenues from customs duties are expected to reach 767 million ALL more, (import of goods mainly from China).

Revenues from excises amounted to ALL 5.2 billion more, affected by the increase in fuel imports by ALL 2.8 billion, the imports of cigarettes by ALL 2 billion and beer by about ALL 180 million.

In total, customs revenues (revenues from VAT on imports, excises, customs duties and mining royalties) reached ALL 101.8 billion.

Also, revenues collected from the mining royalties are estimated at about 358 million ALL more affected by the increase in import quantity by about 14 thousand tons and the average price increase by 40%.  //a.i/

According to official data published by the General Directorate of Customs, revenues collected in the budget from fuel customs clearance account for almost 23.7% of the total revenues collected by the customs administration.

Through excise alone, revenues collected in the budget are estimated at over ALL 10 billion, marking an increase of ALL 1.6 billion.

Compared to the 5 months of 2020, fuel customs clearance increased by over 39 thousand tons, or 20.1%. //a.i/
