TIRANA, April 25/ATA/ Sculptor Mira Kuçuku opened her exhibition at the venues of the Art Gallery of Tirana (GAT). The exhibition carries diverse works of art which have filled the halls of the GAT.

Mira Kuçuku has not given a name to the exhibition which is a compilation of the works of art of the recent years, but simply calls it “Mira’s Ceramics”, dedicating it to her 3 granddaughters.

“For me, it is the first private exhibition in the country, after several such exhibitions in Paris, Bordeaux, Holland, Denmark, Venice and Pristina”, said Mira Kuçuku for ATA.

The technique that prevails in Mira’s creations is the Japanese “raku” technique, with which she is known abroad.

Ardian Devolli, the curator of the exhibition, said that, “We are dealing with an artist who stands out in terms of originality, creative strength, knowledge of ceramic techniques, material technology, etc.”

The artist herself sees ceramics as a woman: “In the caresses of the scorching fire, it strengthens and surprises you, with its unexpectedness, like a lonely woman and returns more beautiful and sparkling”.

The “Good Ceramics” exhibition will remain open to the public, at the GAT Gallery, until April 30. /p.s./
