In a meeting with oil distributors in the country, Rama said that the supply point will be under state administration.

“It is neither the intention nor the tendency of the government to dictate the price, because it does not work this way, but the government will guarantee full price transparency. We listen to the reasoning of the price structure and then will have the last say. We will guarantee the supply at a price that sustains the wholesaler’s operations without making a loss or profit. The profit margin will be frozen by decision of the board,” said Rama.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister informed that “the government and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy will be committed to maintaining their oil security reserves, using Albpetrol.”

“We will be 100% available for any help if the supply complications will aggravate and you will be 100% available, not to help us, but to rise to this challenge. This is an emergency situation. It make no sense to us that at this time a distributor sells at a price of 240 lek, another at 260 and another 270. This can happen in normal time, but today will not be tolerated, “ said Rama.
