Talks focused on efforts to advance European Union integration of Albania and other Western Balkan countries.

Foreign Minister Hasani expressed gratitude for support and commitment of the Friends of the Western Balkans Group to bring the region closer to the EU, underlining that Albania succeeded in opening the first cluster of accession negotiations through shared efforts.

“Albania has embarked on an advanced stage of the EU membership process and it is necessary to maintain the pace and increase efforts for gradual integration. This process will enable better alignment of Albania’s policies with those of the EU,” said Minister Hasani.

“We reaffirmed our shared commitment to advancing EU integration and regional stability. For Albania, EU integration for the entire region is not just a priority – it’s a necessity. Our goal is to transform this group into a dynamic platform for communication and deeper collaboration,” Hasani said.

On their part, ambassadors of the “Friends of the Western Balkans” format expressed their commitment to further supporting efforts to deliver on the common geostrategic objective – the region’s full integration into the European Union.
