The Mayor Korça Sotiraq Filo shared Monday images showing French visitors exploring the village driving their classic cars of the sixties and saying that they were bewildered by what they discovered there.

Nature meets art and history in Voskopoja, making it a favorite year-round destination for both local and international visitors. The town of Voskopoja is renowned for having been a cultural center since 1330 and more than 24 churches were built there over the centuries. Unfortunately, many of these buildings were eventually destroyed by fires, wars, robberies or earthquakes.

In addition to its stunning landscape, Voskopoja is also home to many cultural and heritage sites, including churches and monasteries that attract attention of a growing number of tourists.

Located only 21 km away from Korça, Voskopoja is surrounded by hills and forests and, with its altitude of 1160 meters above the sea, this area is a favorite spot for winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding.
