TIRANA, October 21 /ATSH/ – Minister of Justice Toni Gogu emphasized today the importance of free legal aid for citizens who are involved in disputes and lack the financial means to hire a lawyer.

In a social media post, Gogu stressed that violence cannot be a solution to disagreements and that every citizen should have the opportunity to defend themselves and seek a solution through the law.

“When faced with violence, no one should feel alone or unprotected. The law exists to guarantee the rights of every citizen and to provide solutions to any situation through legal channels,” the minister stated.

He noted that free legal aid enables citizens to receive the necessary legal support, even when they cannot afford the costs of a lawyer.

“No dispute should ever escalate into violence. However, it is not enough to simply say ‘resolve it through the law’; we must also make that possible,” Gogu emphasized.

The minister urged citizens in need of legal support to reach out to the free legal aid service. “Do not stand alone in the face of any injustice,” read his message.

TIRANA, May 18/ATA/ To mark International Museum Day, museums nationwide are offering free admission today, May 18. This cultural celebration continues on May 21 in honor of World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development.

International Museum Day serves as a vital platform for museum professionals to engage with the community and discuss the evolving challenges of preserving our heritage. All week, cultural institutions across Albania will host various activities designed to bring the public closer to our history, identity, and cultural values, making heritage an accessible and enriching experience for all.

Conceived by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Museum Week 2026 transforms Albania’s archaeological parks, museums, and historical sites into vibrant stages from May 18 to 24. Visitors and locals alike are invited to explore a rich calendar of exhibitions, performances, and educational guides. Originally established by the International Council of Museums in 1977, this week serves as an annual reminder of the profound impact museums have on the development of our society.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection shared today in the social media moments from the work of nurses at the Medical Center No. 9 in Tirana.

“The vaccine saves lives. During this period of seasonal flu, our medical teams are on the ground every day, providing free of charge flu vaccines at home for chronic patients who are unable to go to the medical centers. The health of every citizen is our priority,” stated the ministry.

“Since the elderly were not able to come to the clinic, we came to their homes and offered the flu vaccine. The patients suffer from hypertension and diabetes,” said Eriseida Brisku, a nurse at the Medical Center No. 9.

The vaccination campaign started on September 22, 2025, and during the first week, 6,600 citizens were vaccinated at the Tirana Primary Medical Care Center according to the electronic vaccination system.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection has provided 280 thousand doses of this vaccine, which have already been distributed to all the medical centers in the country. /k.s/j.p/p.s./
