TIRANA, May  18 /ATA/ The commissioner in the Energy Regulatory Entity, Maksim Shuli, as well as the director for Natural Gas, Gerti Bitri, participated in the 37th meeting of the European Gas Regulatory Forum.

This meeting focused among other things on implementation and future challenges of the gas network codes, which have an essential role in ensuring the proper functioning of the European gas market, the growth of the hydrogen market in the EU, the decarbonization of natural gas system, the quality of the latter in the energy transition as well as on the LNG session.

During the forum proceedings, the participants highlighted the progress, but also the challenges that the member countries will continue to face in order to advance different and necessary processes in the energy transition required to meet the objectives of the European Union.

Participating in this forum were representatives of national regulatory authorities, representatives of EU countries, the European Commission, gas and electricity transmission system operators, suppliers and traders, end consumers, network users, gas exchanges and NGOs for climate and energy representing civil society.
