The Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, informed on Wednesday through a post on social media that 3300 saplings were planted in Klos.

“Day to day in the field on the back of municipality commitment to afforestation activities following the National Calendar of the Year of Forests, Klosi has joined this calendar with the planting of 3,300 saplings by municipal teams and school students,” Kumbaro wrote.

The Year of Forests has been designated by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment for afforestation campaigns, but also education and awareness of citizens.

Earlier, the year 2022 was dedicated to cleanup and the environment, while the year 2023 was dedicated to the Vjosa River, which coincides with the creation of the National Park of Europe’s last wild river.
