Bank of Albania Q1 Report: Foreign Investments Total 362 Million Euros, Driven Mainly by Real Estate

TIRANA, June 10 /ATA/ Foreign direct investments recorded an increase in the first quarter of the year compared to the same period in 2024.

The Bank of Albania reports that foreign direct investments reached 362 million euros in the first quarter of 2025, marking an increase of approximately 2% compared to the January-March period of 2024.
“The injection of new capital and reinvestment increased by 8 million euros on an annual basis,” states the announcement from the Bank of Albania.
Real estate investments accounted for the largest share of total foreign investments during this period, amounting to 97 million euros.
According to the Bank of Albania, during the first quarter of 2025, incoming foreign direct investment flows were primarily concentrated in real estate (27%), financial mediation (21%), hydrocarbons (14%), energy (6%), and transportation (4%).

BoA: Investment income reach 42 million euros in 6-month period of 2021

TIRANA, Sept. 15/ATA/ Investment income from foreign-owned companies in the country continue to follow a steady positive trend.

Based on the Balance of Payments-BoP data published by the Bank of Albania-BoA, in the first half of this year, inflows of investment income amounted to 42 million euros.

Meanwhile, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) amounted to 234 million euros in the second quarter of this year. Compared to the same period last year, FDI increased to 3 million euros.

The total Foreign Direct Investments is dominated by the reinvested earnings of the existing foreign enterprises in Albania, which occupy more than 50% of the total flow of foreign investments in the first half of this year.

In the first 6 months of 2021, Foreign Direct Investments in Albania reached 463 million euros, marking an increase of 0.65% compared to the same period a year ago. //a.i/

TIRANA, Sept. 11/ATA/ In the second quarter of this year, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) amounted to 234 million euros, the Bank of Albania-BoA announced.

According to BoA officia data, FDI increased to 3 million euros compared to the same period last year.

The foreign investments are dominated by the reinvested profits of the existing foreign enterprises in Albania which occupy more than 50% of the total flow of foreign investments during this period.

In the first half of this year, Albania has absorbed Foreign Direct Investments estimated at 463 million euros, marking an increase of 0.65% compared to the same period a year ago.
