Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, estimated that, “the expansion of accredited tests plays a key role in protecting the health of consumers and improving food standards in the country.”
According to her, 1631 tests accredited by the Institute of Food and Veterinary Safety (ISUV), is a strong guarantee for food safety.

“This year we intend to accredit another 252 tests, reaching a total of 1738 accredited tests, as an indicator of measuring the reliability of the result related to controls on product quality, plant and animal health,” said Denaj.

The minister also informed, we are accredited through ISUV within the year for the test of pesticides in medicinal plants, reducing the cost and time, but above all increasing the awareness in this vital sector for quality.
