The Minister of Health and Social Protection Albana Koçiu announced Thursday that a total of 119.855 people have received the flu shots to date.

“Vaccination is a safe and effective tool to prevent severe flu cases,” Koçiu said, calling on the citizens to receive the shot and strengthen their immunity.

The country-wide vaccination campaign kicked off in October and more than 260,000 vaccine doses have been delivered throughout Albania.

The seasonal flu vaccine is vital to the vulnerable and high risk groups during winter.
