The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development announces that the entities have launched applications for obtaining funds in support of the fishing sector, for the purchase of fishing vessels or for the renovation of their infrastructure.

The applications for a 50% subsidy of the fishing vessel purchase value and for a 50% subsidy for the renewal of the fishing infrastructure will be open for 1 month, until 2 June 2022.

For the fishing sector, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has also increased the value of the benefit that will be used to renovate the fishing vessel infrastructure. The changes of the criteria for the distribution of the fund from the program for agriculture and rural development for 2022 have been published in the Official Gazette.

The benefit measure is 50% of the total value of the purchase tax invoices, but not more than 13,500,000 ALL for fishing vessels equipped with a valid commercial fishing permit and not more than 20 million ALL per subject. /a.a/p.s./
