‘Today, fishery exports are estimated at about 100 million euros and the main goal is to reach the amount of 150 million euros in exports,” the Prime Minister Rama stressed.

While, the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Milva Ekonomi said that, the government has indirectly supported the fish processing due to the EU norms.

“In fact, we have indirectly supported the fish processing, as if it is directly supported it contradicts to the EU regulations. Fish processing was supported through IPARD program or national schemes, for example we provided the fishing fleets the opportunity to buy refrigerators, engines…etc,” Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Milva Ekonomi said.

“The most important thing is that we have improved the fishing fleet. Today, the blu box regularly sends data about the location of the 230 vessels of the Albanian fleet,” Minister Ekonomi added. //a.i/
